Off to Idaho we Went

We have started to feed Katelynn rice cereal.  She seems interested in it sometimes and other times she just spits it back out.

She is also beginning to "talk" a lot.  She makes the cutest sounds!  She is always willing to give a smile.

Right now her eyes are still kind of blue gray, but I don't think they are going to end up that color.

We were able to go up to Idaho for Claire's baby blessing.  This is Katelynn taking her nap before bedtime.  She usually falls asleep for about an hour then wakes up to eat and then goes to bed for the night.  I feel very blessed because she sleeps for 7-9 hours straight at night and has been doing that for awhile now.

We played with cousin Claire over the weekend.  Katelynn is not pinching Claire, although she can get a good grip on me sometimes.

We went up to Rexburg to visit our friends Chelsea and Andrew.  They had a baby girl just over a month ago.  It was good seeing them.  We were sad when they moved away from Provo last summer.

Kevin was really tired after a weekend of playing and fell asleep while holding Katelynn.  Thus we decided to spend Sunday night in Idaho and drove back on Monday morning.

Katelynn's Blessing!

Life has been a little busy lately with me student teaching and Kevin working and in school.  I am done with student teaching though; yesterday was my last day!  I am excited, but at the same time I will miss it.  Thanks to everyone who has helped watch Katelynn.  I wouldn't have been able to finish my student teaching without you.
On Sunday we were able to bless Katelynn.  It was such a special day and everything went well.  I was worried about Katelynn being fussy for the blessing, but she did great!

We were able to have lots of family come, which was fantastic.  All of Kevin's siblings were there, my parents, and three of my siblings were also able to come.  It is nice to have the love and support of family.

Katelynn has some wonderful aunts that helped make her special day even more special.  Aunt Jennifer made her blessing dress, which is gorgeous.  I love it!  Aunt Jessica made her head band, which looked perfect with the dress.  Thanks to both aunts for the wonderful gifts!

Kevin did such a wonderful job.  The blessing he gave was beautiful.  I am so grateful to have a husband who honors his priesthood and will help our family stay on the right path.

Katelynn is still small, but is doing great.  I took her to her four month check up today, and she weighs 10lbs 10 ounces.  She "talks" a lot and is always willing to give a smile.

I am excited to be a stay at home mom and to start to learning new things.  I am planning on buying a sewing machine and honing my skills with that.  It may take awhile, but I have time.  The week of Katelynn's blessing we also found out that Kevin did not get into graduate school.  We will be looking for a full time job and are excited to start a new adventure in life.  The next few months will be crazy, but that is what makes life exciting!
