End of the Summer

The end of the summer came really fast.  Yes, it was a long time ago, but shouldn’t it still be summer?  We moved into our house!  That was one of the biggest things we did the end of the summer.  The girls have loved it so far.  It has taken me awhile to realize there is more to clean, including toys.  The girls’ toys seem to end up everywhere.

 

The girls had lots of fun while we were getting ready to move. They loved the pile of boxes we had in our living room.  Greatest toy ever! 

We played at the park a lot to get out a room full of boxes.

One of the girls favorite places to play in is one of our empty cupboards in out kitchen.  They are in it at least once a day. 

In September we went to visit Edwin and Jennifer in Lander, WY.  We had lots of fun with them.

We had a picnic up in the mountains.  Watermelon was every ones favorite!

We had lots of fun throwing rocks in the water and climbing big rocks by the water.  Kevin was perfecting his rock skipping abilities and skipped one rock at least ten times!  He tried skipping some super big rocks.  They didn’t go as far. 

It was great to play with Edwin, Jennifer, and their kids.  They are lots of fun!  It was a great way to end our summer. 

July Birthdays!

We celebrate 75% of the birthdays in our family in July.  It sure makes for a fun month! 

Jane turned one!  She had lots of fun opening presents.

But even more fun eating her cake! 

We sure do love our sweet little girl!  She is full of smiles and laughter.  She took her first steps on her birthday, but didn’t start walking till a few weeks later. 

I turned 30 this summer.  Woo, when did that happen?  It was a great birthday!  I got to spend it with my family and it was extra special because we went through the temple for my Grandma Butler and were able to seal her to my Grandpa.  Such a special time being in the temple for that. 

We love our Daddy!  Kevin doesn’t really like cake, so he got cinnamon sticks for his birthday.  The girls sure love their daddy and have so much fun with him. 

They get to do crazy things with daddy.  Mommy isn’t as crazy. 

Summer Vacation

We love family and love visiting them.  We were able to go up to Idaho to visit family this summer and had a blast!

On our drive up e like to stop at a park in Pinedale, WY. The girls really enjoy getting out of the car and it’s a nice break for Kevin and I too.  It is such a pretty little park and a perfect stop that isn’t a gas station. 

We always enjoy time with Kevin’s family at their cabin in Island park.  There are so many fun things to do.  Playing with cousins, swinging on the porch, playing in the dirt, and much more. 

 

Like drinking root beer, eating cheese balls, and putting quarters between our toes. 

We love Grandma and Grandpa Butler’s house!  Especially when it is irrigating time. 

Camping is always fun, but even more fun when you go with lots of family.  We had 6 out of 10 siblings there.  We had so much fun! 

“Mom, I can’t walk if both of my legs are in the same pant leg.”   I guess that is true, Katelynn.  Kevin caught some fish in his favorite fishing spot and cooked them for everyone.  He sure loves his fish! And is a good cook too.

Cousins!  Jane LOVED the dirt!  She took more than one bath in it.  Katelynn had a blast playing with cousins and she and Malcolm were trouble buddies. 

Dad is great! He gives us chocolate cake!  He also plays with us!  We love going to Idaho.  It was great to be able to spend time with family.  Family is number one in our book!
