Fun and Friends
We listened to part of General Conference with Ben and Shanna. Katelynn had a lot of fun with the boys.
She loves playing with Rohan and Bruce.
She really liked it when Bruce pushed her around in this container.
Kevin held Savitri for a little while. She sure is a cute baby.
Rohan had to have a turn pushing Katelynn too.
The boys like playing with Kevin.
Katelynn, hanging out with daddy! They bring lots of fun to my life.
Rohan will walk Katelynn around and around. She loves it. Bruce wanted to join in on this picture. Such cute kids!
We watch this cute boy on Tuesdays for a little bit. He and Katelynn are just two weeks apart.
Katelynn likes having other people to play with besides me. Although she likes to steal toys from him and from the other babies at church. She is getting so big.
It is really fun to watch Katelynn with this toy. She just kicks and kicks it. I think she likes that it moves.

What we have been up to
On Labor Day we drove up to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was Kevin’s first time going and my second.
It is a very pretty park. The cool thing about it, is that you get to drive above 12,000 ft. When you get that high you enter an alpine tundra, in which no trees grow. It is very beautiful and cool to see that plants that can grow in that type of environment.
One of the cool things we saw was a whole herd of elk. There were probably about forty of them just chilling on the hillside. There were a lot of cars stopped and taking pictures of them and so we didn’t stop. I have never seen that many elk together all at once.
I gave Kevin a haircut last week. It was my first time cutting hair. I have to say it didn’t turn out that bad. I messed up in one spot and it is a little shorter than what he is used to, but he is pleased with it and so am I. It is nothing like his sister Karin could do, but I am learning. Kevin was very patient and I was very nervous. It took two hours to complete. I think I will be able to go a little faster next time.
Mmmm, bread! I have been making bread lately and wanted to show off my handiwork. This is a delicious recipe we got from Kevin’s Mom. It tastes so much better than store bought bread and nothing beats hot bread just out of the oven, especially with butter and honey on it.
Katelynn loves taking baths now. She didn’t used to, but now she loves it. She kicks and kicks and I think we end up almost as wet as she does. It is so much fun seeing her grow up and learn new things. She has learned to clap, to “wave” hi, and sometimes she even gives us a kiss.
Crazy Hair! It is crazy to think that Katelynn is already 11 months old. She will be one year before we know it. Her main form of getting around is still scooting. She is getting really fast at it and likes to follow us around the house. She also loves for us to hang onto her hands and walk her around everywhere.

I like to Move it, Move it!
Katelynn has decided she wants to start moving now. That only means more trouble for mom. Here come the messes! She loves playing with the dvds.
Instead of crawling, she has learned how to scoot on her bum. It is really fun to watch. She is wearing a dress in this picture so you can’t see her legs, but they are fun to watch as she scoots.
Not only does she scoot across the floor, but she likes to spin in circles on her bum. It is really funny to watch and cute.
Another fun thing to see her do is dance! Well she kind of dances; she gets super excited when we help her stand up. See for yourselves.
We are looking forward to watching her move more and make more messes. Well maybe not the messes part. She scoots wherever her hearts desire is though, even if mommy doesn’t want her there. She is so much fun and I love being her mom.

Cousins and swimming
One of the pluses to moving to Colorado was that we had family close by. It sure has made it easier to settle in and get used to a new place.
We really enjoy playing with Rohan and Bruce.
And I think they enjoy playing with us.
We took Katelynn swimming for the first time the other day. She really liked it.
We weren’t sure if she would since she didn’t like bath time for a long time. She has just started to like bath time now though.
It took her awhile to warm up to the water…
but then she couldn’t stop splashing and kicking. She splashed herself in the face quite a bit. We plan on taking her more before it gets too cold.
Two Years!
Two years ago, Kevin and I started our journey together. Time sure does fly by quickly. It has been a great two years and I would like to share a few memories from them.
Snowmobiling trip to Island Park while we dating.
Temple trip together, Kevin proposed to me behind the Provo temple. I had no idea it was coming, but it was so good. We would go to the temple fairly often; I would do baptisms and Kevin would do a session. Kevin was so nervous before we went and I couldn’t figure out why, but it didn’t take long for me to figure out why.
Kevin had to teach me how to fly fish before we got married. He did a pretty good job. I caught quite a few fish and one that was 16 inches long.
We went to the beach in California while we were visiting his parents.
The greatest day ever! I got to marry my best friend.
We went to Mesa Falls in the winter. It was cool to see the falls with all the snow.
Part of our first garden. We were lucky enough to live in a place where we could have a garden our first summer together. It was fun working on it together.
In November of 2010 we welcomed our sweet daughter to our family. She is so much fun and brings us a lot of joy.
Our first family Christmas together. It sure was different for both of us not having a ton of family there, but it was fun to have just the three of us.
Katelynn’s blessing day!
Kevin graduated from BYU in April. He was sooo excited to be done with school.
Camping trip to Payson lakes in Utah.
It has been so much fun over the last few years together and we hope to have many more together and more kids too! Thanks for letting me share some memories. We hope to share many, many more.
