Little Jane

Here are some pictures of Jane’s first month.  Sorry it has taken me so long to get pictures of her up.  I think I have a pretty good excuse, well kind of.  I did have a baby, but then I blame the Olympics for the last two weeks.  Jane is so precious, she looks so much different than Katelynn did.  It is so much fun to have two cute little girls.

My two beautiful girls!  Katelynn had gotten some pen on her, but then Kevin decided she couldn’t just have a mark on one side of her face, so he marked the other side so it would be even.  Thanks love!

It is so much fun seeing how different Katelynn and Jane are.  Katelynn did not like baths at all until she was almost nine months old; Jane doesn’t seem to mind them at all.

Katelynn’s hair has gotten so long.  While Grandma Saunders was here, she taught us some great hairdos for Katelynn’s hair.  Thanks Grandma!  Katelynn sure does look cute!  Katelynn has also started to pose for the camera instead of running away, well kind of pose.  She likes to get up close and personal.

I love her chubby cheeks!  Jane is such a good baby.  She doesn’t cry very much and is sleeping well for how old she is.  We hope she takes after her big sister, who is a great sleeper.

Grandmas are Great!!

We were blessed to have both of our Moms come to help with the new baby.  It is so great to have help from two great Moms.  We love you!

Birthdays

Well we already had one birthday in July with Jane being born, but it’s not the only one we celebrate in July.  Kevin and I both have birthdays in July too.

I got to celebrate my birthday twice.  Ben made me yummy, super delicious cinnamon rolls.

Everyone took turns holding Jane.

Mom came down to help with the kids, which was a great birthday present!  She made me a scrumptious sour cream chocolate cake.  I think the best present I got though is the the little girl I am holding.

We got to celebrate Kevin’s birthday with family too.  It is so nice to live close to some family.

Kevin got just what he wanted.  He even ordered it himself.  I don’t think I would have done well picking it out, since it was computer parts.  It is hard to surprise him, but hopefully he doesn’t mind too much.  I love you Kevin!!!

Baby Jane!!

We welcomed are little girl, Jane Ida Saunders, in July.  We are so excited to have two little girls now.

She was 7lbs 2oz and 20 inches long.

She was much chubbier than Katelynn and let us know she didn’t like her first bath.

Things went a lot smoother this time than with Katelynn.  I was only in labor for 4 1/2 hours.  It was different to go into labor by myself.  I was induced last time and Katelynn was born five weeks early.  It was a different experience to have to decide if I really was in labor this time.  I am glad I didn’t have the same problems this time.

Katelynn stayed with Aunt Shanna and Uncle Benjamin so Kevin could stay with me.  Thanks!

It was soooooooo nice the be able to take Jane home with us when I was discharged.

Katelynn wanted to hold Jane and give her loves and kisses.  She has been soo good.  She is going to be a great big sister!

Well we know where Jane gets her nose!  Jane looks a lot like her daddy.  Welcome to our family Jane!  We love you so much already.

Happy Independence Day!!

The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays.  I have always loved it.  There is just something about it, which makes it great.  I love spending time with family, eating yummy food, watching great fireworks, and celebrating our Independence and Freedom.

We weren’t able to do too much this Fourth of July because of me being pregnant, but we still had a lot of fun.

We stayed at our place and barbecued.  We had yummy stakes and bratwursts!

Katelynn was tired by the end of the day.  We had a lot of fun!  I am so thankful for the freedoms we enjoy.  I love our country and all the great things about it.

Memorial Day

We had a lot of fun over Memorial Day weekend.  We barbecued, went swimming, played outside and just had fun.

We went up Poudre Canyon on Monday and had a barbecue up there.  We cooked up some yummy bratwursts and had some yummy veggies.  Katelynn loved being in the Forest.

Kevin went fishing for a little while.  He didn’t catch anything, but all the good spots were on the other side of the river.  We are planning on going up there again soon, next time with his waders so we can reach the good spots.

Katelynn and I played with rocks and water while daddy was fishing.  I was lucky to get this picture of her, she didn’t want to look at mommy at all, just play with everything around her.

After we went up the canyon, it was nice and hot, so we decided to go swimming.  Katelynn loves to splash everybody.  She just will laugh and laugh.

Our little girl is getting so big!  She does fairly well eating at the table and not in her chair anymore.  There aren’t too many messes we have to clean up.
She has said for "hi" awhile and "uh ohh," but in the last few weeks she has started to say more.  In the video you can hear her say “Where’d it go.”  It’s a little slurred together, but we sure can understand it.  She also says, “what is that"?”  It is really cute!  She asks what a lot of things are.

She makes some great faces too.  It is hard to catch them on camera sometimes, but we were able to get these the other day.  We are getting excited for our new baby to come.  It is getting closer.  We are more ready this time than we were with Katelynn.  Only about five more weeks to go.
