Barbecue Picnic

Katelynn is getting a head start on using the computer.  Daddy doesn't mind helping her.

On Saturday we went to Rock Canyon Park in Provo and had a barbecue.  We really enjoy doing this and like to do it as much as we can in the summer.  Katelynn is really good at sitting up now and always wants what you have in your hands.

Kevin is a barbecue king and cooked our stakes for us.

Rock Canyon Park is a pretty little park that is by the Provo Temple.

Once we were done eating we went for a little walk and then played boccie ball.  I won!

Kevin is a great daddy and plays with Katelynn a lot.  We love our little girl and all of the smiles she has for us.  It is so much fun to see her explore new things.

Payson Lakes

Utah has a lot of fun things to do and a lot of fun places to go.  We decided to take advantage of this while we can, because we aren't sure were we are going to end up.  We did this by going camping this weekend!

Kevin's Brother and his wife, Katie, came with us.  We provided the food and they cooked it for us.  Well at least for breakfast.

I love going up to the mountains, and this is a beautiful place to camp.  It's less than an hour away from where we live.

A small lake nestled in the mountains.  Katelynn did really well and slept through the night.  I didn't, but only because I was worried about her.

She really liked being outside and would look everywhere.

Camping in style with a double high air mattress.

We went fishing in the lake and caught some really big fish.

It is so nice to get away, even for just one night.

Sunday Afternoon Walk

It is always nice to go for a walk on Sunday Afternoons.  This is one of our favorite places to go to walk.

It is on the south end of BYU campus.  They just redid the path there, and it is so beautiful.  We have to go on this walk as much as we can, because we aren't sure how much longer we will be in Utah, or at least in Provo/Orem area.

Katelynn has now rolled over!!  Wahoo!  She doesn't do it very consistently, but at least it is a start.

Kevin is looking for a job and we have applied to six different places, and had interviews with two of them.  Life is going to be changing soon and I am ready for a change.  I know we will end up where the Lord wants us to be.

Katelynn has gotten a lot better at sitting up.  She does awesome on the couch (don't worry I am right by her on the couch) and on me or daddy.  She has been getting better about sitting on the floor too.

It is so much fun to see her growing up and is crazy to think that she is 7 months old now.  She brings so much happiness into our lives.  We are so blessed to have her and I am so blessed to get to be her mom and take care of her.

The Bean Museum

This week we decided to take a trip to the Bean Museum.  I have been there several times, but Kevin has never been.  It was Katelynn's first time also.

We were glad it was sunny and warm the day we went.  It rained every single day this week and it felt like we were living in Seattle.

Kevin said his favorite thing about the museum is "Everything! Oh, and the tiny little deer that are smaller than dogs."  I didn't get a picture of them, but they are called dik diks if you want to look them up.

We really like this big butterfly made up of a whole bunch of smaller ones.

Katelynn feel asleep just after this picture.

She woke up, I fed her, and then she was one happy little girl!

We walked down to the BYU Bookstore after we were done at the Museum.   We bought some books for Katelynn and I got a fun cookbook.

Uncle Daniel

Uncle Daniel came for a short visit soon after Kevin graduated.  It was nice to have him here for a few days.

Katelynn enjoyed having him here and "talked" to him quite a bit.

I like putting flowers on Katelynn, but her head is so small and the flowers are so big. It sure is cute though!  I am planning on making some that aren't quite so big.

School's Out Forever!!!

Well it may not be forever, but it sure feels like it.  Kevin graduated from BYU on April 21st and 22nd.  He is super excited to be done with school!

Kevin's brother, BJ,was also graduating with his MBA.  They were able to walk together.

Kevin's parents were able to come up to celebrate with us.  It was a lot of fun to have them up here.  His grandparents also came to celebrate with us.

My mom and dad came down from Idaho to celebrate as well.  Family is so wonderful!

Kevin has a temporary job working for BYU right now.  It will last through the summer and will hold us over while we search for a full time job.

Playing Outside

Kevin got out his tennis racquets and balls this last weekend so we could play.  He played tennis in high shcool and is teaching me to play.  We played as long as Katelynn would let us, which was not very long.  Kevin was able to practice his serving while I held Katelynn.

On Sunday we went for a walk on BYU's campus.  It was so nice to go for a walk and enjoy the outdoors.

Kevin took some great pictures of the flowers.

These are some of my favorites.  I love the purple and white tulips!

Katelynn didn't mind posing for a few pictures for us.  This was one of the best.
