Playing with Daddy

Oh what do you do when it’s cold outside?  You play with daddy, take warm baths, and have popcorn movie parties. 

Katelynn loves her Daddy!  She loves playing with him.  I find them doing all sorts of interesting things. 

Jane loves her daddy too!  Kevin does a great job getting her to fall asleep.  Sometimes so good he sleeps too. 

The girls love taking baths together.  Jane splashes more than Katelynn does. Katelynn is pretty good herself too though.  So much so we end up almost as wet as the girls when it is bath time. 

Katelynn LOVES popcorn.  She gets super excited when you mention it and says it over and over and over.  She also calls it copcorn.  We have family movie nights which she loves.   She associates popcorn with turning all the lights off now.  So whenever she turns the lights off it is followed immediately by “copcorn!!!” .

Life is never boring with our two beautiful girls!  We sure love them.

Cousins!

We didn’t do too much in February, it is a short month, but we did have lots of fun playing with cousins.  We sure love having some close by and wish more could live close to us too. 

I LOVE this picture of Katelynn.  It is one of the cutest sad faces I have ever seen.  I also love that her pajamas say happy on them.  She is getting so big and says some of the funniest things.  One thing is when she gets hurt she says, “ Oww, my knee”  no matter where she gets hurt.  She is really just trying to say owwie. 

Katelynn and Savitri really love playing together now.  They have a lot of fun together and you can hear them giggling about something a lot of the time. 

We played in the snow with cousins.  It is great having your own little sled run.  The kids sure love it. 

We had dance parties with cousins.  They are really know how to move it, move it.  Jane likes to bob up and down.  She is getting so big and is so much fun. She likes watching all of the kids play together.  

 

 

January Happenings

Not much happened in January for us.  We were all sick for a little while.  Kevin didn’t have any days off in January, so it was a slow month for us. 

Kevin and my two girls.  Jane is getting so big!  She weighs 18 lbs, which is only 6 lbs less than Katelynn.  Katelynn’s black eye went down pretty quickly. 

She wasn’t too happy with me when I asked her to pose so I could get a picture of her in the beautiful dress Grandma Saunders made her for Christmas. 

Jane is starting to move more.  She isn’t crawling yet, but she will be soon.  Which will be a new experience for us, since Katelynn never crawled.  I have a feeling she is going to be getting into everything once she starts crawling.  Katelynn hardly ever got into anything, so it will be an exciting adventure. 

Katelynn and Jane have been playing together a lot more.  It is fun to see!  Katelynn is a great big sister most of the time.  Every once in awhile she sits on Jane, but for the most part she is good with her. 

 

Our two little girls bring lots of smiles to our faces!  We love them so very much.

We did have one exciting thing happen in January.  We are getting a house!!  We signed the contract and soon our house will start to be built.  We are super excited for this next stage in our life.  It is going to be great to have a house we can call our own and a yard, where we can plant a garden and have room for the kids to play.  It’s a little scary buying a house, but it is going to be good and we are ready for the adventure.  We will keep you posted on its progress. 

Christmas Vacation 2012

We went to Idaho.  It was crazy.  We had fun.

 

We went to Idaho for Christmas this year.  Katelynn had a good time on the drive up to Idaho.  She liked having all the blankets and pillows on her.  She did really good for the 10 hour drive.  Jane did well too.  She slept almost the whole way.  We were grateful for good weather for the drive.   

We got to spend lots of time playing with cousins. Especially the four little girls; Katelynn, Isabel, Claire, and Savitri.  They had a lot of fun together.  Katelynn had fun playing with Grandpa and Grandma too.

She absolutely loved playing in the snow.  Daddy and Jane were tuckered out one morning. 

Aunt Susan helped me with my Christmas Eve Pajamas I  was making.  I had never done pockets before so she was showing me how.  She and Joseph came up with out their families for Daniel’s Wedding.  It was great to spend some time with them. 

I made our Christmas Eve pajamas again this year.  I have a lot of fun doing that, even if I put it off till the last minute.  We had fleece ones this year, which were super warm and comfortable for cold Idaho weather. 

We had a plethora of presents and horses this year.  There were 25 people at my parents house for Christmas morning.  Aunt Jessica made horses for all of the grandkids.  They are some sweet looking horses!

Katelynn eating candy from her stocking for breakfast.  She was a little sick at Christmas, but that didn’t stop here from opening presents and eating candy. 

My favorite present was the one I got in my stocking form “Santa.”  He made me cry on Christmas Morning. 

Jane hung out with Grandma while we were opening presents. 

Kevin liked his magic card and got some yummy sauces to eat.

It was a little crazy with everyone, but was fun to see everyone opening presents. 

Idaho was lots of fun.  We played lots of games, ate lots of left over ice cream from the wedding reception, kept kids busy, and made lots of food.  What more could you ask for than spending time with a great family! 

Before we headed back to Colorado we went to Utah to visit some of Kevin’s siblings.  We had a good time seeing and playing with them for a few days.  Katelynn likes playing with her cousins a lot.

It is great to visit family.  We love you all so much and are blessed to have such great families on both sides!
